Abstract

This thesis focuses on technical and economic analysis of the sludge dewatering process of metallurgical primary production in ArcelorMittal Ostrava a. s. with the aim of assessing the economy of operation of blast furnace and steelmaking dewatering sludge system. The goal of this Thesis is to describe the current state of the blast furnace and steelmaking dewatering sludge, to determine the best options based on a comparison of operating and investment costs and economic appraisal of used flocculants in order to find savings in operating costs based on the implementation of operational tests.
