Abstract

In the theoretical part of the diploma thesis, there are defined basic concepts which are related to the subject of the thesis and this part introduces methods of property appraisal in the Czech Republic and, in more detail, it specifies the ways how to value building site, agricultural and wood land. The practical part is focused on estate appraisal in a market and administrative way and the analysis of ascertained values. The aim is to introduce present principles, procedures and methods of appraisal of estates in the Czech Republic and to elucidate a mismatch between values, which were ascertained in a market way, and prices, which were ascertained in an administrative way. The hypothesis of the diploma thesis is to verify if market values of estates are higher than administrative values. The hypothesis was confirmed in a case of building sites and disproved in cases of agricultural and wood lands.
