Abstract

The aim is to calculate the actual short-circuit conditions on the R22 kV substation and propose partial modernization of electrical protection for switching station. Beginning first part is devoted to a description of possible fault conditions in the EC and the basic concepts of the theory of protection. Further options are discussed protecting HV asynchronous motors and HV transformers. The second part is the theoretical analysis calculations of short-circuit conditions according to DIN EN 60 909-0. The third part of the thesis is focused on the description of the power for switching station R22 kV on ÚK and to describe the current state of protection. Furthermore, the technical data necessary to calculate short-circuit conditions and the calculations setting the individual protective features designed terminals protection RET 543 and REF 542plus. On this part it is then followed by short-circuit conditions, calculating the R22 kV substation and design of new electric protections. In the last part of the thesis I dealt with the issue of creation of switching surges while switching inductive motor currents vacuum circuit breakers in the switchgear 6 kV R61.
