Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with the problem of soil drought and its effect on agricultural land, which is threatened by wind erosion. The first part of the thesis describes the causes and consequences of drought both in the Czech Republic and Slovakia and its monitoring. The next section describes anti-erosion measures. In more details are documented windbreaks, which are among the most effective measures against wind erosion. The consequences of the impact of wind erosion on the agricultural land fund within complex land consolidation are addressed in the cadastral area of Měnín located in the district of Brno-venkov in the Jihomoravský Region. Groups of stands have been identified in this area, which have been evaluated as low-erosion-resistant windbreaks. From the aforementioned reason and according to a survey of the area was found that the area is threatened by wind erosion. In the practical part was designed a network of windbreaks, which effectively prevents wind erosion continued. Specifically, there is a list of trees suitable for planting windbreaks and displaying their location. Together with this, the financial costs associated with the implementation of the erosion control measure were estimated.
