Abstract

The bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of fire protection in data centers, especially the use of stable fire extinguishing systems. The introduction defines what data centers are, what they are used for, what their operational and design requirements are, including in terms of safety and fire protection. It specifies the fire risks, flammable materials, possible causes and subsequent spread of a fire in the data center. The next part is focused on the description of fire protection elements and their use for data centers. It compares gas sprinkler systems, suitable extin-guishing agents, a system for creating a permanent inert atmosphere and also summarizes the requirements for the implementation, operation and maintenance of fire protection. At the end of the thesis are described specific systems for data center protection against fire.
