Abstract

The dissertation (thesis) is about principles of navigation and detection of location of mobile object. It deals with simple principles used in the past, which evolved very quickly during the last century thanks to development of technologies. A principle of GPS, currently the most commonly used type of navigation, is explained briefly. And an overview of other methods of locating positions is presented. A functional part of the thesis then contains a solution of another Metod of indication of location of a mobile object. The method is based on acoustic ultrasonic signal. It enables to follow an actual location of the object using Cartesian coordinates, which can be used for many other purposes.
