Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with the design and setting of electrical protections in the substation R110/22 kV Valašské Meziříčí. The thesis is divided into two parts, the theoretical part and the practical one. The theoretical part deals with theoretical analysis of protections. There are analyzed the basic requirements, described the basic parts of protections and made a division. More attention are given to overcurrent protections from the point of view of use in a given substation. Furthermore, the analysis of the calculation of short-circuit currents is describe, where a greater emphasis is placed on calculation using physical values. This method of calculation was also used in the practical part. The theoretical part concludes with a description of the substation R110/22 kV Valašské Meziříčí and a description of the Siemens SIPROTEC5 7SJ85 protection, which in the substation replaces the obsolete electromechanical protections. The aim of the thesis is the theoretical summary of the issue of protection and calculation of short-circuit currents. The determination of short-circuit conditions and the design of electrical protections settings in the substation. This is the practical part. The result of the work is the calculation of short-circuit conditions on individual lines, including branches and the design of starting currents and times for overcurrent and short-circuit protections, setting of ground directional protections and setting of automatic reclosing.
