Abstract
This dissertation deals overview about the technologies of electricity production by a unit for combined heat and power (CHP). It provides informations of CHP unit principle, the basic types, distribution and basic technical parametrs of CHP unit. Unit using internal combustion gas engine, which burns a natural gas or biogas are characterized here. This work contains conditions for connection CHP to the network and conditions for connection to the distribution grid and energy supply to the grid. The conclusion of this work deals with the capex for CHP with an internal combustion gas engine, fuel cost, also stated purchase price of electric power production. A simplified calculation of return on investment is given here.
