Abstract

This thesis deals with the issue of verifying the level of preparedness of a company for an emergency event involving the release of a hazardous substance. The theoretical part includes a literature review and an analysis of valid legal, technical, and methodological regulations in the field of major accident prevention. Based on this, an analysis of the current state of the selected company is carried out, including an assessment of the hazardous substances used, safety measures, and internal documentation. The practical part focuses on the design and implementation of an employee exercise aimed at verifying their preparedness to respond to an emergency situation. This includes the development of an exercise scenario, its execution, and subsequent evaluation. In addition, employee knowledge is tested, and deficiencies in preparedness are identified. Based on the findings, specific measures for improvement are proposed, particularly in the areas of documentation, training, and organizational arrangements.
