Abstract
The diploma thesis deals with designing video surveillance systems using software tools. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part components of video surveillance systems are shortly introduced including description of chosen software tools for designing video surveillance systems. In the practical part model situation of particular object was solved regarded to specification of relevant parametrs using software support.
