Abstract

Thesis is focused on design and check of sheeting and struts of circular foundation pit, which is located in complicated geological and hydrogeological conditions. Sheeting wall is supported with two ring struts from reinforced concrete. Thesis also include presentation of local direction forces of tube and foundation slab, and uplift stability check of the final construction.. First part of the thesis contains introduction to the foundation pits, followed by summary of geotechnical interpretive report and description of construction technology. Next part of thesis is focused on sheet pile design by empirical calculation, calculation in software GEO5 – 2017 Sheeting check and at last calculation by 3D mathematical model in Midas GTS NX, which is solved by fine element method. Last part of thesis deals with comparison of above mentioned calculations, final design of sheet piles and ring struts.
