CROSS-BORDER COOPERATION

The aim of Bachelor thesis is in theoretic level an explanation of its history and importance of cross-border cooperation and the general importance Euroregions and in practical terms is the aim of the Nisa Euroregion involvement in programs promoting cross-border cooperation and the analysis of specific projects implemented in the field of tourism. This work is divided into five chapters, including introduction and conclusion. The second chapter is devoted to the importance of regional policy in the European Union, which is to coordinate and harmonization of regional policy of individual EU member states. Furthermore, it is listed as a legislative change in regional policy, objectives of the previous 2000-2006 and 2007-2013, as well as contemporary and relevant instruments of economic and social cohesion of EU and Community Initiatives, which also focuses on the problems of the Member States. This chapter also deals with cross-border cooperation in the context of regional EU policy, its principles, legal instruments and in particular about its aims and causes of Euroregions in the EU and subsequently also develop euroregionalismu in Europe and the Czech Republic. The third chapter focuses on the Czech-Polish border cooperation focusing on individual programs of cross-border cooperation, especially to the Operational Programme CBC CR-Poland 2007-2013, cross-border activities and the essential characteristics of the Czech-Polish Euroregions. The fourth chapter, a practical part, specifies the more detailed description of the Euroregion Nisa, who also provide the necessary information to realized the project "Jizera Mountains for hiking, which was carried out within the INTERREG IIIA Community Initiative and was completed in 2007. Conclusion The thesis contains a summary of information obtained.
