Komparace a hodnocení vývojových procesů v Ostravě a Groningenu

Abstract

Subject of this diploma thesis is comparing and evaluating of development processes of towns Ostrava (CZ) and Groningen (NL) and comparing degrees of their development. The thesis consists of 4 chapters. The first chapter focuses on theory of a town and its classification, development and managing of a town. The second chapter describes the town Ostrava in detail, its common characteristics, sociodemographic characteristics, an economic structure, an infrastructure, an environment and relationships with other subejcts and a situation in the area of innovations. The third chapter is devoted to the town called Groningen, located in the north-east of the Netherlands. Based on my results from the last two chapters and theory of the first chapter, in the following fourth chapter there is a summary of all areas of development processes of both towns and an evaluation of their development with proposals for improvement.
