Cena ropy a její ekonomické dopady

Abstract

The aim of this diploma thesis is realisation analysis of the EU´s energy policy focused on oil and comparison of energy intensity with development of the Brent oil price in the EU during period 2000 – 2010. By searching values of indicators of energy intensity which have been linked to the GDP of selected countries, was found that defined hypothesis, namely the increasing price of oil has a positive effect on reducing energy intensity, was confirmed in 26 member states of the European Union and the EU as a whole. In one country this assumption was not confirmed.
