Abstract
This diploma thesis deals with protections selectivity check in distribution network AL INVEST Břidličná, a.s. Common part of thesis is pursued to electric power system faults and protection of HV electric apparatus. For own appreciation there were calculated short circuits in HV substations in thesis. Values of maximal short-circuit currents were used for protection setting check. Values of minimal short-circuit currents were used for check of cables temperature rise. In next part of thesis appreciation of short-circuit withstand capability of HV substations was maked. In conclusion I reviewed present condition of distribution network protection and I suggested reasonable precautions.
