Srovnání kvality veřejné správy ve středoevropských regionech Evropské unie

Abstract

Higher quality public administration is one of the important factors in a prosperous state. The European Quality of Government Index focuses on citizens' perception of how they assess the quality, impartiality and corruption of public administration in their region. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare the quality of public administration in the Central European regions of the European Union according to the European Quality of Government Index. The paper compares the Czech cohesion regions Praha, Severozápad and Moravskoslezsko to foreign regions from Central Europe according to the EQI index and GDP per capita indicator. The economic strength and maturity of the region plays an important role in assessing the quality of public administration. From the data collected, the GDP per capita indicator is a major but not decisive factor for the full perfection of public administration.
