Abstract
The topic of my bachelor’s thesis is an analysis of EN AW 5083's microstructure after plastometric simulation by hot rolling. First part of my thesis describes aluminium and its alloys, their microstructure, chemical and mechanical properties. Moreover there are further descriptions of 5000 series alloys, examined EN AW 5083 alloy and regeneration processes of carbon based alloys. The conclusion of the first part deals with metallographic methods.
Second part is focused on light microscopy analysis of the EN AW 5083 alloy’s microstructure after plastometric simulation by hot rolling. The results and evaluation of this experiment are provided at the end of my thesis.
