Dostupnost osobní asistence v Moravskoslezském kraji

Abstract

This bachelor thesis examines the availability of personal assistance in the Moravian-Silesian region. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to analyse the availability of personal assistance in the Moravian-Silesian Region divided into individual districts. The aim is achieved by using the methods of comparison, synthesis and semi-structured interview. The monitored indicators are the legal form of providers, age category of clients, operating hours, immediate capacity of clients, rate per hour of assistance provided, target group of clients and number workers in direct care. The research shows that for people with any kind of disability in the Moravian-Silesian Region it is most advantageous to live as close as possible to a large city, in this case the regional city of Ostrava, as the availability of personal assistance is best in its district and providers cover a wide range of ages and needs of the disabled and elderly. On the other hand, Bruntál region is the worst in terms of personal assistance, as it has a very small number of providers, who also have a very low immediate capacity. The situation in the field of personal assistance is not favourable in all areas of the Moravian-Silesian Region and there is a need to strengthen the network of this social service, especially in the peripheral parts of the Region.
