Abstract
The diploma thesis deals with the reproductive potential and spread of the invasive plant species Solidago canadensis (Canadian goldenrod) in the waste pond environment, in the context of overall vegetation development at slag and fly ash deposits in Třinec – Dolní Líštná.
The theoretical part is about history, former use and current character of natural conditions in the area of interest; this part also briefly explains the issue of non-native species and invasive plants and mainly deals with biological and ecological properties and other life contexts of the studied species S. canadensis.
The research section describes the methodics of all field, laboratory and software-statistical works. The vegetative and generative spread manifestations results (of the Canadian goldenrod in the interest area) are expressed by coverage, abundance and shoot height, flowering and seed maturation process, panicle fertility, seed rain and also by soil seed bank. All this is complemented by aboveground vegetation phytosociological analysis, classification and character of phytocenoses with their alpha diversity, as well as selected soil properties condition determined by WD XRF analysis and sieve analysis.
