Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis deals with the mechanical tension of the optical fiber and the effect of tension on the frequency response of the optical fiber interferometer. Work includes a basic introduction to the theory related to the problem to be solved and the types of interferometers used in practice. Acquaintsuswith a description and function of the mechanical stretch instrument. There is described a method of assembling the measuring system together with the used device. Measurement contains four different combinations of optical fiber adjustments. For every configuration statistic alanalysis was compiled based on the effect of stretching on the amplitude of the signal frequency.
