Analýza tvorby finanční rezervy na sanace a rekultivace u společnosti Severočeské doly, a.s. – Doly Nástup Tušimice

Abstract

Mining companies have a legal duty to provide remediation and reclamation of land affected by mining, and for this purpose establish appropriate funding. To meet that requirement, The Development and Working Face Advance Plan, Summary Clean-up and Reclamation Plan and The Specific Reclamation Plan have been put in place. These plans include proposals for the creation of financial reserves, quantifying the expected cost of remediation and reclamation, and the time scale of the works. The availability of this funding is subject to approval and control of the Local Mining Authorities. Methodology of the establishment of the funding has not yet been specified by any law or regulation in the Czech Republic. In this context, the present work describes and compares the possible methods of determining the amount of the financial reserves. Based on the comparison of these methods, the most suitable option is selected. At the same time measures are proposed which can lead to unification and modification of the conditions laid down in the creation and use of financial reserves.
