Abstract
This Bachelor thesis deals with an outstanding group of materials which are called nickel superalloys. The work gives a basic survey, classification, and disposal possibilities of nickel superalloys in practice. The considerable part of the work is devoted to a special group of nickel alloys named nickel aluminides. These Intermetallics phases based on Ni3Al are in the limelight of many world corporations and numerous experiments have been carried out to fortify their already high mechanical properties. The work compares nickel aluminides with commercially used alloys and refers to the competitiveness of nickel aluminides in comparison with many nickel superalloys. Overall properties of nickel aluminides can be influenced by the process of directional crystallization with Bridgman method which is also described in this work. In practical part, particular types of structures in cast state are compared with the state after directional crystallization.
