Abstract
This bachelor thesis discusses the issues of wastewater treatment along with new methods of dealing with wastewater.The first chapter is dedicated to history of wastewater in the world and in the Czech republic. Types of wastewater are listed along with techniques of wastewater treatment and wastewater disinfection. The following chapter is dedicated to legislation concerned with wastewater. New techniques and methods of wastewater treatment are described in the following chapter along with a list of systems used and their comparison. In the final part of the bachelor thesis we take a glimpse to the future of wastewater treatment and use of waste as a source of energy.
