Abstract
The purpose of this work is to provide fundamental information releated to about shape memory alloy’s (SMA), as well as practical application and point out some possibilities about using these type of materials. The basic types of shape memory manifestations and their characteristics will be presented. Greater attention will be given to the not commercially used Cu-Al-Ni ternary alloy. Methods of production of Cu-Al-Ni, preparation technology, effect of alloying elements, properties and applications will be explained. The actual application of the thesis will be available to the professional public but also to the students dealing with the theme of alloys with the shape memory effect.
