Abstract

This work is focused on signaling in 2G and 3G networks and its analysis. It focuses on the air interface signaling between a mobile device and transmitter. Signaling is analyzed from the measured data using the R&S ROMES. Data are measured from the communication in 2G and 3G networks. Before analyzing is in theory described progress of analyzed record and procedure of connection setup. The measured data from 2G network contain signaling during call setup and during handover. The measured data from 3G network contain signaling during packet connection setup. Author in the analysis describes the tools used in software R&S ROMES. The work includes two complex tasks for scholarly subject. Tasks are focused on the analysis of signaling in 2G and 3G networks. The conclusion summarizes the results of the analysis and describes options of future extending.
