Abstract
3D printing is a progressive technique of material manufacturing. Public usually knows the FDM technology. The FDM technology is not the only one. There are several techniques of 3D printing using different principles, enabling printing many materials including metals. Theoretical part of bachelor’s thesis describes individual 3D printing techniques. The FDM technique is described in detail including processes of debinding and sintering. Methods of microstructure study of materials manufactured by 3D printing are mentioned at the end of this part. Microstructural analysis of samples printed by FDM technique is the core of the experimental part. Porosity and grain size were measured. The δ-ferrite content was determined by the EBSD method. Microhardness and hardness were measured according to Vickers. Results were compared with steel 316L properties manufactured conventionally and by other additive techniques.
