Abstract
In the presented thesis there is evaluated the current status of remote belt conveyors located at the first coal cut in the mine Vršany with a detailed focus on driving motors and suggested possible solutions of modernization of these electric motors including the power supply and control. In the first part there is characterized the site including description of geological conditions of the mine. The next section describes the existing technology and technical equipment of the mine as a whole. Further the work is focused on description of the current state of Long-distance belt conveyor transport at the first coal cut with a detailed focus on the current electric driving motors installed in the drive units, with a proposal for their possible modernization in terms of increased energy efficiency, higher operational savings, but also in terms of increasing reliability and work safety and operation safety. In conclusion there is stated the overall evaluation of the newly proposed modernization and review of other recommendations for the future.
