Řízení rizik v projektovém portfoliu společnosti TATRA TRUCKS a.s.

Abstract

This diploma thesis focuses on project risk management within the context of a project portfolio of the company TATRA TRUCKS a.s. as a case study. In today’s dynamic and complex business environment, the importance of a systematic approach to risk management is increasing, as it enables effective handling of uncertainty and supports informed managerial decision-making across multiple simultaneously implemented projects. The main objective of the thesis is to analyse the current approach to project risk management in the selected organisation and, based on the findings, propose measures to improve the systematic nature of this process. The theoretical part defines the fundamental concepts of project and risk management, describes the risk management process, and presents selected standards, methodologies, and tools applicable in project practice. The practical part focuses on the characteristics of the company’s project portfolio and on risk management analysis in selected projects. The methods used for risk identification and evaluation include SWOT analysis, Risk Matrix, and the RIPRAN method. The results of the thesis identify key shortcomings in the current risk management approach, particularly in the areas of systematic evaluation and comparability across projects. Based on the analysis, recommendations are proposed to enhance risk management effectiveness and improve decision-making quality within the project portfolio.
