Abstract

The main contents of this thesis is to master the technological processes realization of optical fiber and optical elements of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS).The practical part is for PDMS help build basic optical elements - cylindrical waveguide, where it was further realized by measuring the attenuation depending on the length of the waveguide and the spectral dependence of the individual samples with the help of a mechanical kit Thorlabs and LED light sources. The next step was to test and subsequent description of the specification curing times and temperatures relative to the weight of the samples and their dimensions. Work includes theoretical foundations needed to understand the optical and electrical properties of PDMS.
