Abstract

The object of the PhD thesis is Working settlements – the specific living in the condition of sharing and industrial agglomeration of Ostrava from the view of the town engineering. The origin of the information based on long term practice in the capital apartment building and management of buildings, study of gettable literature and archive documents. The purpose of the study is offering of the alternative possibility of the town building mostly in industrial zones and show the new view on the blue-collar colony based on reconstruction and regeneration as a valuable way of living and recommendation for municipalisation how to guarantee greater compactness of the town with quality background in the view of environment, cost-effectiveness and service.
