Abstract

The Role of the International Monetary Fund in a Matter of Dealing with the Debt Crisis in Eurozone Jana Balejová

This thesis deals with the Role of the International Monetary Fund in a Matter of Dealing with the Debt Crisis in Eurozone. The whole work is divided into three main chapters, which are accompanied by a short introduction and conclusion. The first of three chapters deals with the role of the International Monetary Fund in world economy and it also describes the transformation of its functions over the time. Other parts of this chapter are devoted to prevention of crisis and measures which the International Monetary Fund uses in dealing with crisis. Next chapter involves the description of particular steps that International Monetary Fundy has taken along with the European Union while solving the crisis in individual countries. The last chapter is composed of experts’ notions and statements on this cooperation and procedures. The aim of this work was to create the most comprehensive view on events that have created the cooperation of the International Monetary Fund and the European Union in dealing with the financial crisis in Eurozone. This thesis targets to mediate this complicated and current topic into the comprehensive summary.
