Abstract

The bachelor thesis focuses on the region of Ústí nad Labem, describes its history, natural conditions and geological structures. Furthermore, it describes volcanic activities in the České středohoří mountains, the causes of volcanic activities and creation of the mountains. The main part of the bachelor thesis deals with the characteristics of eight selected phonolithic hills in the area between Most and Bílina. The uniqueness of this group of hills is described here. In addition, each of the hills is individually analyzed from the perspective of their importance to humans in the past and present, their accessibility to tourists. Moreover, there are various attractions from the natural, geological and historical point of view.
