Abstract
This thesis focuses on redefining the systems of employee selection and adaptation. The aim of this thesis is to analyze systems of employee selection and adaptation in a multinational company Stora Enso SDCC Ostrava and to detect their possible weaknesses and make appropriate proposals in order to improve the current state.
The thesis is divided into theoretical-methodological part and application-verification part. Methodology and methods of processing this thesis are firstly described in the theoretical-methodological part. Then theoretical basis of employee selection and adaption are characterized based on studied literature.
The application-verification part includes description of the company and contains information about existing systems of employee selection and adaptation. The information is drawn from internal documents of the company and from interview with HR Partner as well. Main purpose of this part is to analyze current systems resulting from questionnaire research and own observation. Output of this research is basis for recommendations for improvement in this area.
