Abstract

The objective of thesis is to analyze the specific project of Čavisov municipality, the process of grant funding in the case of a small village and to point out the threats that the village threatened at realization the project. At the same time the objective of thesis is to point out the flaws in this process grants. The first chapter is an introduction. The second chapter deals with the structure of public administration and its decentralization, the structure of public administration in the Czech Republic and local government. The third chapter deals with the economic base of the municipality, a model of fiscal federalism, and the municipal budget. The fourth chapter discusses the EU regional policy and its instruments - EU funds. The fifth chapter focuses on drawing grants from European funds in the case of a small village. There is a SWOT analysis already realized the grant project Čavisov village. At the same time through a questionnaire survey are found ways small village of Moravskoslezský region receive grants from European funds and the shortcomings of the process. The last chapter is the conclusion.
