Abstract
The aim of this work is creation of photocatalysis sorptive nanostructures on ZnO and SiO2 base. Photocatalytic active ZnO is placed to SiO2 silikagel net. The teoretical part consists of an introduction to solid state physics, where we especially discuss semiconductors as the main photoacatalysis active material. We also consider semiconductor heterostructures, which can deeply extend photocatalytic efficiency of materials. The teoretical part is finished by fabrication of nanoparticles and by nanoparticles and nanostructures characterization methods.
The experimental part contains the creation and characterization of ZnO(SiO2) ZnO nanostructure including structural, material and optical characteristics. We built photocatalytic flow reactor for measuring photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue in real time. We measured photodegradation of methylene blue itself, photodegradation of methylene blue with TiO2 evan. and photodegradation of methylene blue with ZnO(SiO2)ZnO nanostructure. We also discuss photocorosis problematics at the end.
