Vlhkostní chování mineralizovaného dřeva a desek na bázi dřeva

Abstract

Wood is a material with a long history and tradition of use. It is a natural material with its advantages and disadvantages, like any materials. The natural and renewable nature of the raw material is considered as the main advantage. The biggest disadvantage of wood is its anisotropy and low durability. These disadvantages can be reduced by certain procedures, including material treatment and modification. One of these procedures is also mineralization, which is also solved in this work. This diploma thesis is focused on the moisture behavior of mineralized wood and also of wood based panels treated by silicates. The effects of different silicates have been investigated especially on solid wood with a focus on moisture and durability issues, as well as mechanical parameters. This paper examines in particular the physical properties of solid wood and wood-based panels, which are important for use in construction. Specifically, swelling, moisture and visual changes are determined. Sodium silicate and Lukofob 39 are used for mineralization
