Abstract
This bachelor thesis focuses on the static assessment of a supporting steel structure for a 22,8 MW turbogenerator located at the AVR waste-to-energy plant in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The objective of the work was to develop a computational and structural model of this structure, which supports the steel frame and the turbogenerator unit. The structure is designed using S235J0+N grade steel, employing hot-rolled HEB and UPE profiles along with circular hollow sections. The assessment was conducted in accordance with current European standards using Czech National Annexes. Within the scope of the thesis, selected members were evaluated for Ultimate and Serviceability Limit States. Furthermore, selected structural details were designed and assessed. The results demonstrate that the proposed structural design complies with the requirements for resistance, stability and stiffness, with all assessed elements satisfying the criteria for both limit states.
