Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with a sensory analysis of salted snacks. The aim of the thesis is to determine, how consumers perceive the sensory quality of the lightly salted variant of „Strážnické brambůrky“ in comparison with competitive salted snacks of selected producers. The theoretical part describes the sensory analysis, product testing and market characteristics and the company „Petr Hobža“. The practical part covers realisation of marketing research by the focus group method, which included sensory evaluation of products. The final outcome of the thesis is to compare the sensory characteristics of salted snacks and to make proposals and recommendations for the brand „Strážnické brambůrky“.
