Abstract

The thesis deals with problematics of evacuation and fire-fighting lifts requirements. It is divided into five parts. Chapter one describes a history and a sorting of elevators. Chapter two is concerned with the evacuation elevators legislation, national and European legal regulations, with the lift assembling and manufacturing. Chapter three maps fire-fighting lifts in relation with legislation, national and European legal regulations and their assembling and manufacturing. Part four deals with evaluation of project documents of evacuation and fire-fighting lifts. The thesis ends with evaluation of fire-fighting and evacuation lifts in relation with national and European rules of law.
