Abstract

Today the use of chlorine to disinfect appears as problematic, both in terms of rapid consumption of disinfectant, with the risk of secondary contamination, or formation of by-products of disinfection. This issue is increasingly subject in selecting a suitable method of sanitary security. Diploma thesis aims, through theoretical and practical research, to get an answer the question how to secure appropriate hygiene of drinking water. In the experimental part was carried out disinfection of water by using two technologies. TwinOxide technology that provides a solution of chlorine dioxide produced generatorless way and the second method is the MIOX technology, which uses mixed oxidants for disinfection. Generators of mixed oxidants produce a solution of disinfectant based on chlorine-based electrolytic process.
