Abstract
The thesis deals with presently still actual issue of roads management and maintenance aimed on threatened areas.
Threatened areas are in work limited to areas affected by deep mining activities. The target area is the Karvina district, which was affected by the historical and present intensive mining activity. Thesis deals with regional and local problems that are transferable to other areas with the same or similar conditions. Solution of this issue is limited by available data. Survey is mainly on roads of 2nd and 3rd class, their maintenance falls under the competence of the County Road Administration. The issue of Pavement Management System in the county is still unresolved; the outputs should support its application.
Aim of the thesis is to determine what parameters or inputs affect the arising of mining disturbances. As input data are used in particular and basically only data commonly available to County Road Administration. Elaboration is based on data processing and analyses in Geographic Information Systems and further outcomes evaluation by using statistical methods. The planed results based on these analyses are recommendations and definition of prediction models for Pavement Management System application in solved region. Thesis conclusions are intended for further research with potential practical application in order to refine methods for outputs according to needs of the County Road Administration.
There are given recommendations for further research and proposals for practical use in the management and maintenance of roads at the end of the dissertation.
