Abstract
The aim of this work is to compare the microstructural and mechanical properties of the steel 23MnNiCrMo52 used depending on the type of heat treatment and at the same time to find the most suitable parameters of heat treatment (HT). These parameters should lead to the optimization of mechanical properties in order to reduce production costs and the possibility of using a different type of heat treatment than the previously prescribed normalization annealing.
The theoretical part is focused on rotary die swaging, heat treatment possibilities and microstructural characteristics of steel. The experimental part deals with five different methods of heat treatment. The last section deals with the results of mechanical and microstructural metallographic analysis and discussion in acc. with the results achieved.
