Abstract

Logistics is important for each branches of industry. No society can function without it. This thesis briefly introduces the reader to VÍTKOVICE POWER ENGINEERING a. s., problems of steel and steel structures, the rationalization, logistics and so on. The aim ot this thesis is to find out the main cause of the supply discrepant of material and try to find a way to eliminate this cause. Using data provided by the company can be specified the searched cause of supply discrepant of material. The main causes are defects in the material surface such as slivers and patches of ore. This thesis is focused on suppliers, who deliver defective material for the company VÍTKOVICE POWER ENGINEERING a. s. and on method of the selection procedure by which a company selects suppliers.
