Abstract

The main aim of the diploma thesis is to compare the financial results of Meopta - optika, s.r.o. with a selected competing company. The theoretical first part presents the economical and technical characteristics of the company, a summary of current theoretical knowledge in the framework of financial analysis and the theoretical definition of benchmarking in professional literature. This is followed by a detailed financial analysis of the company and selected competing company. The result of the thesis is a comparison of the proposed measures to improve the competitive position of Meopta - optika, s.r.o. in the financial field, based on a summary of the results of the analysis and benchmarking.
