Technologie přenosu dat EuroDOCSIS 2.0

Abstract

Cieľom práce je popísať EuroDOCSIS 2.0, teda technológiu prenosu dát, cez koaxiálne káble, jej zavádzanie a možnosti testovania. Následne zhodnotiť výhody a nevýhody tejto technológie po technickej aj ekonomickej stránke. Prvá časť detailne popisuje fungovanie systému, komunikáciu CMTS a káblového modemu. Akým spôsobom sa káblový modem prihlasuje, nastavuje a správa v dátovej sieti. V analýze popisujem stav káblových rozvodov a meraním overujem niektoré predpoklady pre zavedenie systému EuroDOCSIS 2.0. Po analýze je popísané , aké prvky je potrebné doplniť, aby bolo možné zaviesť samotné prvky systému EuroDOCSIS 2.0. V tejto časti je náčrt fungovania a principiálneho zapojenia dátovej technológie spolu s pôvodnou službou distribúcie televízneho a rádiového signálu. Nakoniec časti je popis možnosti testovania dohliadania nad systémom EuroDOCSIS 2.0. Posledná časť sa venuje technicko-ekonomickému porovnaniu s inými drôtovými technológiami.

The target of this work is to describe the EuroDOCSIS 2.0, a technology data transmission over coaxial cables, its implementation and testing options. Then evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of this technology from technical and economical side. The first section describes in detail the functioning of the system, communication CMTS and cable modem. How the cable modem logs, configures and manages the data network. The analysis describes the state of cable and with measurements it verifies some assumptions for the introduction of EuroDOCSIS 2.0. After the analysis it is described what elements need to be added in order to introduce the solitary elements of EuroDOCSIS 2.0. This section describes the function and the principle connection of data technology together with the original distribution service of television and radio signals. At least a description of the options for testing overseeing EuroDOCSIS 2.0 system. The last part is devoted to technical and economical comparison with other wired technologies.
