The aim of the thesis was to diagnose safety devices in tunnel constructions. The first part of the thesis describes safety devices that are currently used in tunnel constructions. The following chapter describes technological excesses, more precisely failures regarding safety devices in tunnels, which happened in defined period of time. Technological failures that threaten operation and safety in the tunnels were selected by analyses presented in the thesis. Suggested measures that should eliminate technological excesses are presented in the final part of the thesis.
