Abstract
The bachelor thesis deals with the design and construction of a piezoresistive pressure sensor and the subsequent creation of a laboratory task where the designed pressure sensor will be used. In the theoretical chapters, the methods used for blood pressure measurement are described and a review on the types of pressure sensors is elaborated. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the selection of a piezoresistive pressure transducer for the sensor design. A membrane is implemented for the sensor and the design of components for processing the measured analogue signal is also realized. Software data processing is performed on two levels. The first level is performed on the microcontroller and the second processing is performed in a graphical user interface created in the MATLAB environment. The aim of the thesis is to design a laboratory task in which a capacitive sensor for the measurement of changes in the diameter of a blood vessel is used. The created pressure sensor is compared to the capacitive sensor on a simulated model of a blood vessel. The result of the comparison is the dependence of the capacitance changes on the pressure changes inside the model vessel.
