Abstract

The aim of the thesis is a general description of the development of 400kV substations in the Czech Republic from the past to the future development and expansion. There is also described the historical development of circuit-breakers, who served in the past and emerging over time have been upgraded to power switches with SF6 gas, which is now used more widely than the older models of pneumatic breakers. Finally, as already apparent from the title of the thesis focuses on the overall development of modern 400kV substations in terms of encapsulated switchgear with us gradually begin to benefit from the existing open outdoor substations, in terms of saving space.
