Abstract

The diploma thesis topic “Analysis of possibilities of using gaseous and liquid (muds) fluids for drilling of deep geothermal wells firstly gives a brief description of characteristics of muds suitable for drilling geothermal well. Thesis also focuses on the functions of drilling muds e.g. cleaning of borehole, control formation pressure, maintain borehole stability and controlled the drilled formation from damage. The next section describes the appropriate technical and technological equipment of a drilling rig. The fourth chapter is about specialized downhole drilling equipment. The conclusion of the thesis is orientated on comparisons and analysis of liquid and gaseous muds in the drilling of geothermal wells.
