Abstract
Croatia and Its accession to the European Union
The aim of Diploma Thesis is to appraise readiness of Croatia to join the EU based on political and economic criteria. It analyzes fulfilment of Copenhagen criteria by Croatia, economic situation and state of accession negotiations of Croatia.
Diploma Thesis is divided into three main chapters. The first chapter is addicted to accession process of candidate country to the EU in general. The second chapter is focused on ability of Croatia to assume oblibations of membership and the actual state of accession negotiations. The third chapter is addicted to fulfilment of political and economic criteria by Republic of Croatia and actual economic situation is demonstrated on economic indicators.
